| 8 Weeks to go:
Calendar: mark down all holiday related dates and events on your calendar Shopping List: fill in Christmas Gift List sheet Baking: make a list of all of the holiday baking you want to do. If Christmas cakes or puddings are on your list treat them as separate from your other baking, and purchase ingredients and bake those now so that they can age deliciously. Decorating: check last year's Post Holiday Notes to see what items you need to purchase, and what you purchased after Boxing Day. 7 Weeks left: Calendar: now is the time to decide what family events you want to include in your celebration and get them on your calendar. Don't let other people's priorities overwhelm you! Shopping: purchase any gifts that must be mailed and get them wrapped and sent Shopping 2: if you are catalogue shopping, check the "order by" dates for Christmas delivery and note these on your calendar Baking: make a shopping list for your baking Decorating: pick up anything you may need while the stores still have lots of variety available. 6 weeks away: Calendar: make sure any medical or dental appointments are taken care of before the Christmas rush Shopping: keep plugging away at your Christmas list! If you need to mail any gifts, it should be done by this week. Shopping 2: keep up with your catalogue or on-line shopping. Baking: if you have items that freeze especially well they could be baked now and put into the freezer until needed. Decorating: put up your outdoor lights |
